Killers

Released on April 2, 1981, through EMI Records, Killers is Iron Maiden's second studio album. Produced by Martin Birch, the album features a mix of new tracks and re-recorded songs from the band's earlier EPs. Killers introduces a more polished version of the band's sound, combining elements of heavy metal and punk. The cover art, again by Derek Riggs, features a menacing Eddie with a bloodied axe, capturing the album's aggressive tone. Killers cemented Iron Maiden's place as a force in the heavy metal scene.
