Runnner’s Always Repeating, the debut full-length on Run For Cover Records, is a poignant meditation on rootlessness, connection, and the cycles of loneliness we all face.

The project of LA-based songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Noah Weinman, the album is steeped in intimacy and vulnerability, pairing delicate, melancholic songwriting with warm, lo-fi textures. Across its 10 tracks, Weinman reflects on the dislocation of moving between cities—Providence, Los Angeles, and New York—while yearning not so much for the places themselves, but for the people and moments they represent.

Half of the songs are reimagined versions from earlier releases (Awash and One of One), now presented with richer arrangements and refined production. Tracks like the aching “Awash,” the humor-tinged “Urgent Care,” and the wistful opener “Monochrome” explore themes of anxiety, memory, and the bittersweet pull of nostalgia.

Weinman’s self-production approach adds authenticity, preserving the small “artifacts” of the recording process to make the listener feel like they’re in the room. His instrumentation—spanning guitar, banjo, trumpet, bass, and synth—creates an intimate yet dynamic sonic palette influenced by Bon Iver, Julien Baker, and the Microphones.
