Blues for the Modern Daze is an album by American blues rock musician Walter Trout, focussing more on the 'traditional' blues, and taking a more straightforward approach to songwriting.

The album reached #1 on the UK Jazz & Blues Chart and #4 on the Billboard Blues Chart. It was produced by Trout himself together with Grammy-nominated producer Eric Corne.

Some of the highlights on this album include the tracks 'Saw My Mama Cryin', 'The Sky Is Fallin' Down' and 'Pray For Rain'.
